Antique Pearl Pin Victorian Dangle Crystal Brooch 1930s Jewelry $85

Antique Pearl Pin Victorian Dangle Crystal Brooch 1930s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

Before the term US designer jewelry came about, there were hundreds if not thousands of artisans that came from the old world and operated jewelry manufacturing businesses here in the US. Some of their names are known to vintage jewelry collectors but for the most part, costume jewelry made in the 1920-1930 era was unsigned and the makers are not known.

I strongly admire this dangle pearl brooch because it is exceptional old world craftsmanship and the design is pure Victorian. The three large teardrop hollow glass pearls are suspended from a leaf swag, made of silver pot metal, and set with pairs of Austrian clear crystals on each leaf.

The silver metal pot metal setting is thick and strong and if you look at the back you can see the crystals are open backed with gold foil backs. All of the crystals are diamond like sparkling clear and are all original and present.

The pearls are Majorca pearls, which is a very old technique from Spain for creating glass faux pearls. Evidence of stippling or tiny bubbles in the finish is visible in some spots as Majorca pearls should have. The pearls are in good clean condition with no flaking or peeling ; there are some tiny scratches.

Medium in size, the brooch is 1 3/4" long x 1 1/2" tall or 44 mm x 38 mm. The pearls are 14 mm and 17 mm long.

The pot metal is clean with no pitting, verdigris, or oxidation and the back has a light patina from age. The brooch is not signed.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in new luxury presentation brooch box.

French Cloisonne Vintage Earrings Copper Blue Orchids 1950s Jewelry $65

French Cloisonne Vintage Earrings Copper Blue Orchids 1950s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

I know Pierre Bex made earrings almost exactly like these in the 1970s but these are not Pierre Bex earrings. To the best of my knowledge, Pierre Bex never made any Cloisonne jewelry that wasnt silver metal over copper. These earrings are solid copper with no silver finish.

The designs he copied, and everything he made was a copy of earlier Cloisonne jewelry that was made in France, which was made of solid copper. In addition, the silver rhodium and brass combination clips indicate the rhodium portions have been replaced and were originally brass; and brass clips on earrings were predominately used in the 1940-1950 era.

Also, Im not aware Pierre Bex made earrings like these in anything other that pierced earrings. Below you can see the backs of what the Pierre Bex earrings look like. Note the silver metal backs. Also note the face of the earrings, how the Pierre Bex designs had silver wire work and not copper wire work.

The center area of these French Cloisonne orchid earrings are cobalt blue and the petals are pooling colors of light silver blue and turquoise.

Medium in size, the earrings are 1 1/4" or 30 mm wide.

You will be very pleased with the condition of the Cloisonne on these earrings as there is no crazing, no cracks, and no chips or other damage. Both earrings are in pristine clean condition and the clips are in tight working order.

Comes with a free pair of new padded ear cushions for your wearing comfort.

CORO Coral Orange Moonstone Lucite Vintage Bracelet 1950s Jewelry $85

CORO Coral Orange Moonstone Lucite Vintage Bracelet 1950s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

One of the things I love about vintage jewelry from the 1950-1960 era is the fact that orange was a very popular color in jewelry designs, which is something you just don't see in jewelry today, not from anywhere in the world really. Carnelian is great, tangerine orange rhinestone jewelry is great, but tangerine orange or coral orange moonstone Lucite is the best!

What most ladies don't realize about orange jewelry is that is goes with navy, brown, grey, white, and even green or black. I also love to wear this color of nail polish. You can take a simple every day outfit and with just a hint of orange vintage jewelry, matching lipstick and nail polish, and transform your look into something very impressive!

Made in the 1955-1965 era, this bracelet is designer signed by Coro. The design is very modern with square and domed moonstone Lucite cabs with beveled down corners. The cabs are accented by a matrix design in yellow gold metal; butterfly wings in cross-hatch patterns.

When clasped, the bracelet is 7" or 17.8 cm long. It is 3/4" or 20 mm wide.

The entire bracelet is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches or dings and no gold wear or loss of gold. The original fold over box clasp is in perfect working order and is signed © Coro.

Art Deco Austrian Crystal Necklace Double Dreamy Blue 1930s Jewelry $120

Art Deco Austrian Crystal Necklace Double Dreamy Blue 1930s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

This is a unique, very old, crystal necklace that was made in Austria in the 1930 era. The crystals are old shades of blue that is best described as Cornflower or Carolina blue. It is a sparkling shade of medium light blue and is not Aqua.

The necklace is two strands of hand cut Austrian crystals in barrel shapes with pentagon and diamond facets. If you look at my close up photos, you can see the beads vary in shape, size, and facet design. The crystals are spaced with very old clear crystal rounds, all hand faceted as well, with very tiny facets! The crystals are rather weighty for their size as they are old lead crystals with optimal clarity and reflectivity.

With the original matching crystal bead extension chain, the necklace can be hooked up to 16 1/2 " or 42 cm long. The crystals range in size from 6 mm to 12 mm.

If the necklace is not long enough for you, you can add a 4" custom made silver metal extension chain below that will allow the necklace to be hooked anywhere between 16 1/2" and 20 1/2" long.

Look at the ends of the strands and notice the original old brass jump ring, hook, and brass links on the extension chain. (Its brass because this is what was used on older necklaces.) Also notice the beads are fire polished, lending purple, pink, teal, and golden reflections. Not to be confused with Auro Borealis, a process used on rhinestones invented in the 1950s, fire polished crystals have been made for centuries.

The entire necklace is in pristine sparkling clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the crystals are in exceptional condition with no chips or cracks. Any signs of wear are on a very microscopic level hardly worth noting. The necklace is not signed but was assuredly made in Austria.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in new luxury presentation necklace box.

Vintage Cufflinks Hickok Tortoise Glass Cameos 1950s Mens Jewelry $75

Vintage Cufflinks Hickok Tortoise Glass Cameos 1950s Mens Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

You might ask yourself why men would wear lady cameo cufflinks. The answer dates back to the Victorian era, when men wore jewelry to show there was a special woman in their life they admired.

Made in the 1950s and designer signed by Hickock, these 3D portrait style cufflinks are an antique reproduction design featuring cameo ladies in molded tortoise glass. This type of glass is also sometimes referred to as Bohemian caramel glass and this type of glass was only made in the German / Bohemian region.

This old type of glass has commendable luster; much like Tigers Eye gemstones. I've always admired Hickock (and some other US jewelry designers) because they went out of their way to import exceptional European glass (and Austrian crystals) for their designs.

The cufflinks are made of polished gold plated metal and the rectangular frames are scalloped vertically. The mesh metal wraps are bright yellow gold plated/polished metal as well.

Medium in size, the cufflinks are 3/4" long x 11/16" wide or 22 mm x 18 mm. The cameos are a nice large size at 18 mm long.

Both cufflinks are in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws and have obviously never been worn. There are no scratches, chips, or cracks to the cameo glass cabs. There is no loss of gold or gold wear. Both cufflinks are signed Hickock.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in new luxury presentation cufflink box as pictured.

Vintage Cufflinks Big Round Maple Wood Inlay 1970s Mens Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

Artisan made in the in the late 1960s or early 1970s, these Maple wood inlay cufflinks were made for a special reason. Back then, originality was key to one's character and personality. When it came to mens cufflinks, finding anything this unique was rare and exciting.

These orbital style domed buttons expose three different inlaid grains of Maple. The wood is polished and waxed to perfection and the cufflinks took a tremendous amount of time to make.

Large is size, the buttons are 1 1/4" or 31 mm wide. The backs have recessed settings for the closure mount, which is made of gold plated metal. The wood is in excellent pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no chips, scratches, or dings. There is some light gold wear on the cufflink closures. The cufflinks are not signed.

Atomic Space Age Vintage Bracelet Spinning Orbs 1950s Jewelry $145

Atomic Space Age Vintage Bracelet Spinning Orbs 1950s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

You can call this vintage bracelet Mid Century Modern or Retro Modern, but what I call is it a wild and rare Atomic Space Age design!

I often wonder where women who designed a bracelet like this one got their inspiration. ( Yes, it was mostly women who came up with designs like this, and the man owned company they worked for, took the credit!) It is obvious this crazy spinning orb design was inspired by the solar system.

There are three strands of glossy black thermoset plastic orbs that look and feel like glass. The orbs spin freely inside the gold plated thick metal rings. Look at the ornate, wide, gold metal findings on the ends of the bracelet. These are a style you don't often see and they date the bracelet to the 1945-1955 era. The bracelet is not signed but Im certain not many were made. In my 30+ years of collecting vintage jewelry, this is the only one I've ever seen.

When clasped, the bracelet is 8" or 20.3 cm long. It is about 1 3/4" or 45 mm wide. The orb links are 1/2" or 13 mm each.

The entire bracelet is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches or dings and no gold wear or loss of gold. All of the black orbs are clean and glossy. The original fold over box clasp is in perfect working order.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation bracelet box.

Persian Style Necklace w Earrings Silver w Agates 1970s Jewelry $120

Persian Style Necklace w Earrings Silver w Agates 1970s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

This Persian style necklace with matching pierced chandelier earrings is a very unique vintage set. It was made in the late 1970s or early 1980s in North Africa or India.

The set is hand made silver wire jewelry and is also sometimes called paddle jewelry. Notice all the many different designs on these pieces : dangling paddles, rope wire, loops, scrolls, curves, circles, bars, cones, and geometric hearts and V's.

Persian style jewelry such as this set was predominantly made in India in the 1970s and 1980s but it was also made in Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia. It was very popular ethnic import jewelry for a short period of time and now, you just don't see it anymore. Perhaps the labor intensive manner in which it was made and the cost of metal has driven this style out of production.

The necklace has a pendant lavaliere and the tear drop stone is a moss green agate; the same as on the chandelier earrings. The glowing light yellow/green nuggets are Mother of Pearl. The earrings have French ear wires with safety back closures. The necklace chain is an antique style book chain design of sorts.

The necklace can be hooked up to 16 " or 40.6 cm long. The earrings are 3 1/8" or 78 mm long.

Both necklace and earrings are in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. The set is not signed.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation jewelry box.

If the necklace is not long enough for you, you can add a custom made silver metal 4" extension chain below that will allow the necklace to be hooked between 16" and 20" long.

Big Pinwheel Star Flower Pin Lime w Mabe Pearl Brooch 1950s Jewelry $75

Big Pinwheel Star Flower Pin Lime w Mabe Pearl Brooch 1950s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

Im ashamed to say that I cant tell you who made this brooch. As the design is so unusual, it would be nice to know! What a stunning eye catching pinwheel flower design this is! My vintage jewelry instincts of 30+ years tell me it was most likely made by Judy Lee in the early 1960s. It may also have been made in West Germany or Austria.

At center is a large baroque Mabe pearl surrounded by bright light green Peridot crystals. The long and slender flower petals are four shades of lively greens. The petals are old thermoset plastic and some are semi-translucent and some are frosted. Notice also the petal settings; the gold metal frames are a fancy ribbon style. Look at the back of the brooch and you can also see the unique riveted style construction.

Large in size, this pinwheel flower is 2 3/4" or 70 mm wide.

The entire brooch both front and back is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the cabs and crystals are original, present, super sparkling, and prong set. There is no gold wear or loss of gold and no scratches or dings. The back has the original fine working safety clasp.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation brooch box.

Pink White Vintage Pearl Necklace w Gold Foil Glass Beads 1960s Jewelry $85

Pink White Vintage Pearl Necklace w Gold Foil Glass Beads 1960s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

For the past 35 years, I have loved to collect and wear vintage Japanese pearl necklaces, especially designs that have one particular design element that reflects a certain element of jewelry history.

The triple strand necklace is a delightful combination of round and baroque pearls in light pink and white, some with fancy silver filigree bell caps...but it is the other beads I want to talk about.

Do you see the white glass rounds with the gold and copper foil inlay ?

These are old 1950s foil inlay glass beads, made by the Japanese of course, but they didn't invent it. They were copying styles of Venetian glass beads from Italy...and they did it extremely well. The boxy honey gold twist beads are porcelain with 24kt gold piping : a style that was also borrowed from the Italians. The glowing yellow beads are acrylic, have three sides, and are called pinch beads : also copied from Venetian glass beads.

In some of my other jewelry descriptions, I've talked about how the Japanese killed Hong Kong, Korea, and the Philippines in jewelry exports and this is how they did it : they made very time consuming copies of beads from Europe, namely Italy. This is also a reason why no one in Japan produces jewelry like this today : the beads are too time consuming and expensive to make. So China, with their cheap junk, killed Japanese jewelry exports sometime in the late 1960s. I tell you this because it is something that once was, that will never be again, and is part of jewelry history.

With the matching pearl extension chain, the necklace can be hooked up to 20" or 51 cm long. The entire necklace is in sparkling clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the beads are clean and bright with no scratches, chips, or cracks. The hook is signed Japan.

Ethnic Latino Vintage Necklace Quartz Sterling Marble 1970s Jewelry $120

Ethnic Latino Vintage Necklace Quartz Sterling Marble 1970s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

I acquired this very unique hand made Latino necklace in my travels in the mid 1970s in Guadalajara or Puerto Vallarta Mexico. I cant remember which place, because I hung out on the beaches at both, but I remember a man on the beach selling necklaces he had made to tourists.

Fascinating to me now more than ever, this necklace is made of hand cut and polished rounds of white quartz along with nutmeg brown carved marble barrel beads. Between the focal beads are sterling silver rounds, hematite tube beads, and black Onyx rounds.

The necklace is nice and long but not heavy to wear. It is about 38" or 97 cm long. The quartz rounds are 10-11 mm and the carved marble beads are 20 mm long. The necklace is finished with an antique style slide-in hook clasp.

The entire necklace is in pristine clean like new condition and has only been worn once or twice. All of the beads are flawless with no chips or cracks. I've hand polished the sterling beads intentionally leaving the old patina. The necklace is not signed.

Bright Green Flowers Vintage Bracelet w Earrings 1960s Hippie Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

Made in the 1960-1970 era, this very unique bracelet and earring set is a one of a kind design.

In the 1960s and 1970s, when hippie girls wanted to make some denero, they learned a craft like jewelry making. Im not talking about somebody who strings a few beads on a cord and calls it jewelry; I'm talking about a real skilled craft.

These light lemon-lime flowers were hand cut from thick brass. They were then hammered on the faces to create a concave area the glazes could adhere to. They were first fired in a dark blue glaze and fired a second time with the light green glaze. They were then linked together with hand made oval brass links.

The bracelet is 7 3/4" or cm long. The flowers are 1" or 26 mm wide. The earrings originally had brass screw backs and have been converted to new gold metal pierced ear wires with safety back closures. If you want them converted back to clips, check the option box below.

The entire set is in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. The set is not signed.

This unique vintage gold tassel necklace with matching dangle clip earrings is a very uncommon set.

The elaborate tassel design on the necklace is very impressive, a wild Retro Vintage design with gold and turquoise serrated inlay beads. The set is a combination of metal chain and metal and plastic beads. The tassel is a huge 3 tier design with a fascinating array or bright yellow gold textures including polished, satin, and nugget etched. It is a complicated design best described by my photos!

This set is not signed but I can tell you it was not made by Sarah Coventry, Emmons, or Avon. The designer is a mystery however I think it could have been made by Alice Caviness or Judy Lee. The set is assuredly from the 1955-1965 era, defined by the particular style of clips on the earrings and the old brass spring clasp on the necklace.

The necklace chain is 22" or 56 cm long. The tassel section is a whopping 8 1/2" or 22 cm long. The earrings are 2 3/4" or 70 mm long. The entire set is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws and has obviously never been worn.

This large stacked and layered flower brooch is made of satin etched acrylic petals in lime green and teal. The petals have an amazing soft and fluffy look. At the center is a cluster of large rhinestone chatons in clear and Peridot.

Large in size, the brooch is 2 7/8" or 73 mm wide. It is also very deep front to back at 1 3/8" or 35 mm. You can get a better indication of the size by viewing the photo of the brooch in my hand.

Ice Blues Vintage Pearl Necklace Crystals w Paper Mache 1950s Jewelry $110

Ice Blues Vintage Pearl Necklace Crystals w Paper Mache 1950s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

Made in the 1955-1965 era, this is perhaps one of the most stupendous pearl and crystal necklaces that you will ever find... and in dreamy shades of ice blues!

Over the past 30+ years, one of the aspects I look for in vintage necklaces outside of overall great quality are vintage shimmering pearl hand made paper mache beads. They are very hard to find.

This necklace was made in Japan and the quality is superb. There are many different sizes of hand made paper mache beads in light silver blue, all flanked with silver filigree flower bell caps.

The necklace is loaded with clear iridescent Austrian barrel crystals and silver foil lined glass seed beads. Then, there are also large ice white/pale light blue pearl beads and turquoise blue glass or acrylic beads. (They could be solid acrylic or hollow glass, but they are not light weight plastic. They look and feel like glass.)

Most of the focal beads on this necklace are rather large but the necklace is not heavy to wear. The larger beads range in size from 10 mm to 22 mm.

Finished with ornate silver rhodium leaf style findings at the ends, the necklace has the original matching bead extension chain and can be hooked up to 17 1/2" to 20" long or 44 cm to 51 cm.

The entire necklace is in spectacular pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the beads and crystals are perfect with no chips or scratches. A few of the ice blue pearls have tiny hints of wear. The necklace is signed Japan on the hook.

Pink Crystal Pink Pearl Bracelet w Earrings 1950s Vintage Jewelry

Made in the 1950-1960 era, this vintage pink pearl and crystal bracelet with matching cluster clip earrings is great to find still together as a set. Typically, I collect these styles of vintage bracelets when I can find them in excellent condition but it is uncommon to find the earrings still with the bracelet.

The wrap bracelet is three strands of baroque of light pink pearls with a satin finish and medium pink faceted bicone Austrian crystal. In between the crystals and pearls are silver foil lined clear glass seed beads. The earrings feature light pink pearls and the same pink crystals as well, however the pearls are pink satin glass.

The bracelet is adjustable to fit any size wrist up to 6 1/2" in diameter. The bracelet is about 1 " or 26 mm wide and the pearls and crystals are about 8 mm. The earrings are medium petite in size at 1 1/2" or 38 mm long.

Both bracelet and earrings are in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. Some of the pearls have some tiny, light to moderate signs of wear from rubbing, and the set is not signed.

Deltah Vintage Cultured Pearl Necklace Blue Crystal Clasp 1960s Jewelry

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

This triple strand fine quality vintage cultured pearl necklace was designer made by Deltah and is still in the original Deltah signed box with certificate of authenticity.

The 8 mm pearls have superb luster as they are Japanese Akoya cultured pearls from the early 1960s. Look closely at the close up photos and you can see the pearls are not all exactly the same size or shape.

The elegant clasp is a large ocean blue rectangular faceted crystal, flanked with clear crystal baguettes, 5 on each side. You can view and read the Deltah certificate in the photos above.

This necklace was made for young ladies as the neck size is smaller than unusual. When clasped, the necklace is 13 3/4" or 35 cm long. The ornate clasp is 1 1/8" or 30 mm long.

I sincerely doubt this necklace has ever been worn as the entire necklace is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the pearls are very lustrous with no scratches or wear. The clasp is in perfect working order and the blue crystal does not have any chips, cracks, or facet wear.

Ethnic African Retro Vintage Necklace Huge Pendant w Chrome Beads $85

Ethnic African Retro Vintage Necklace Huge Pendant w Chrome Beads

CLICK TITLE TO BUY

Ethnic bone necklaces have been made for thousands of years but sometime in the 1950-1960 period, unique ethnic designs became a signs of the times; cultural ethnic styles that were never made before.

Made in the 1960-1970 era, this admirable bold design features a huge 4 piece carved bone pendant with huge chrome tube beads. I believe the pendant is a West African symbol but Im not sure what it means; Fertility, Longevity, or Luck perhaps.

The 4 piece pendant is put together with metal bars that serve as hinges so each piece can move independently. There are two huge chrome barrel beads with black bone ends and chrome caps. Following are two huge round bone beads and two long chrome tube beads. The rest of the necklace is white bone beads mixed with old hand made chrome rounds. The necklace is finished with a screw type silver metal barrel clasp.

The necklace portion is 27" or 69 cm long. The pendant is an additional 4 1/2" or 11.4 cm long and is 2 1/4" or 59 mm wide. The largest chrome barrel beads are 3/4" wide x 1 1/4" long or 19 mm x 32 mm. You can get a better indication of the size by viewing the photo of the pendant in my hand.

The entire necklace is in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. Only the chrome barrel beads have some light signs of wear from gentle handling. The necklace is not signed.
