MAMSELLE Duck Pin Enamel Bird Brooch 1960s Vintage Jewelry $38

Made in the 1960s, this flying duck brooch is a quality vintage bird designer signed by Mamselle.

Both women and men wore duck pins in the 1950-1960 era. From the 1940s thru the 1970s, my grandfather was an avid goose and duck hunter on the Chesapeake Bay and I remember his hats, vests, and hunting jackets heavily adorned with wild game pins and special feathers.

This duck in flight brooch is made of glistening yellow gold metal, only visible on the feet and beak, the wing tips, lightly below the body enamel, and the back of the brooch. The duck is hand painted air brushed enamels with a clear rhinestone eye.

Medium large in size, the duck is 2 3/8" tall x 1 1/2" wide or 60 mm x 38 mm.

The entire brooch is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. I doubt it has ever been worn. There is no gold wear or loss of gold and no enamel wear or loss of enamel. The back has the original fine working safety clasp and bar pin and the Mamselle cartouche.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a luxury presentation brooch box.
