Fish Pin RARE 1950s Vintage Enamel RS Marlin or Swordfish Brooch $195

Fish Pin RARE 1950s Vintage Enamel RS Marlin or Swordfish Brooch $195

Made in the 1940-1950 era, this massive swordfish or marlin brooch an extremely rare find.

In the 1940-1950 era, a few designers such as Coro and Trifari made huge enamel/rhinestone figural brooches of thick and heavy cast metal that are famous collector items today; most were floral and bird designs. From this era, it is rare to find anything nautical related made in this old world fashion.

This incredible big fish was assuredly made in the 1940-1950 era as evidenced by the cast metal materials and finish work. It is cast brass with thick polished gold plating. The hand painted feathered enamels are two tone deep red and orange/gold or honey gold. On the body there are 6 bands of inset clear rhinestones trimmed with polished gold bands.

The brooch is not signed however it was made by one of the more prominent US jewelry designers who had a strong market in California and/or Florida. I believe it is an unsigned Coro brooch and was most likely only made for one production run, during one year. To my trained eye the brooch has the look of an Adolph Katz design, or Coro, and he did produce one swordfish design in 1945 that was similar to this brooch.

Very large in size, the swordfish is 4 1/8" long 1 5/8" wide at the widest point, or 105 mm x 40 mm. See the photo of the brooch in my hand for better size reference.

The entire brooch is in pristine clean like new condition. All of the rhinestones are original, present, and sparkling. There is no gold wear or loss of gold and no scratches or dings. The enamels are superb as well with only a few very microscopic hints of wear on the edges or tips of the fins that can only be seen under magnification. The back has the original fine working safety clasp.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation brooch box.

All of the inlay also has polished brass framing or trim. The double strand necklace, in round and disk beads, are acrylic in ivory white. The orchid medallion hangs to the side, not at the center.

Austrian Brooch RARE Opaque Pink Rhinestone Pin Art Modern Jewelry $75

Austrian Brooch RARE Opaque Pink Rhinestone Pin Art Modern Jewelry $75

If I took 100 photos of this brooch, this brooch would look different in every photo! It is very dimensional, like stars in space or a model of a molecular structure. It can be worn horizontally, vertically, or on a variety of slants.

This brooch was made in Austria in the early to mid 1960s. Later in this description I will tell you how I know when and where it was made.

In the early 1960's, modern science and modern art influenced almost every culture on the planet. Modern artists and modern science influenced everything from architecture, autos, and appliances to the media and fashion. For centuries Austria produced relatively the same styles of jewelry; rhinestone flowers and figurals. In the 1960s a few Austrian jewelry designers tested the market with new modern designs that reflected museum art of the times.

Jewelry of this style is very rare to find and it was only made for a few short years in very limited production. This brooch is a 3D geometric burst made of gold metal. Opaque rhinestones were rather new in the late 1950's and early 1960s and were also rarely used in Austrian jewelry.

The light pink opaque rhinestones are various sizes, set on different planes, and all bezel set and prong set in gold metal. The superb Austrian craftsmanship of this piece is apparent when you look at the back of the brooch. Each setting is riveted and fitted with hook style arms that create the linear burst design. The brooch is not signed but this type of construction was only done in Austria. The construction is first class; with gold solder points between the bezels and the linear arm structure.

Medium large in size, the brooch is about 2 1/4" wide x 1 3/4" tall or 57 mm x 44 mm. The pink opaque rhinestones range in size from 3 mm to 8 mm.

The entire brooch is in superb like new pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the rhinestones are original, present, and flawless with no scratches, chips, or facet wear. There is no gold wear or loss of gold. The back has the original fine working safety clasp.

Antique German Lustreware Porcelain Cup Mug Pink Purple 22kt Gold $35

Antique German Lustreware Porcelain Cup Mug Pink Purple 22kt Gold $35

Because Im half German, there are a lot of antique and vintage German wares I've collected over the past 30+ years; not just jewelry.

I love German Lava glazed pottery from the 1970s, German wooden cottage jewelry boxes, really old German cobalt glazed wares, and frilly German lusterware cups or mugs. I have a large collection of antique German lustreware porcelain cups and I cant keep all of them anymore.

What excites me about his porcelain mug is the frilly floral design and the purple, rose pink / lavender, and hot pink pearlescent lustreware colors and the 22kt gold decor. This mug was made in the 1920-1930 period and has an Art Deco influence.

Medium petite in size, the mug is 2 3/4" tall x 2 5/8" wide without the handle or 70 mm x 67 mm.

It is very hard to find mugs like this in excellent condition and this mug is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches, chips, cracks, repairs, and no signs of wear. The cup has been in one of my glass curio cabinets untouched for the past 30 years. The cup is not signed as many old German lustreware cups were not signed.

Antique Tea Cup Demitasse German Luster Glaze Roses $28

Antique Tea Cup Demitasse German Luster Glaze Roses $28

This unique antique German porcelain tea cup was made in the late 1800s or early 1900s.

The tea cup is a unique tall design with molded arches and beads around the top. The bottom of the tea cup is scalloped. The print design of deep pink roses and light pink rose petals is accented with mint gray/green around the top in a pearlescent luster glaze.

The cup is 31/4" tall x 2 3/8" wide without the handle at the top or 82 mm x 60 mm. The bottom of the cup is stamped in red ink Made in Germany.

This tea cup has been untouched in one of my glass curio cabinets for over 30 years. The entire cup is in pristine clean condition with no paint or luster wear. There are no chips or cracks on the top or bottom rim; only some light roughness around the bottom edge from sitting in place. On the handle, at the top, there is a very small and rather unnoticeable tiny hair line that is shallow and only on the outside surface of the handle. It does not harm the integrity of the handle. Cups this old and of this style are very difficult to find and a few minor imperfections show be expected.

Marquise Opal Crystal Vintage Cocktail Ring 1960s Jewelry $65

Marquise Opal Crystal Vintage Cocktail Ring 1960s Jewelry $65

This vintage cocktail ring is one that I stashed away decades ago and decided to never sell... because I thought only I could appreciate it.

Over the past 30+ years I have collected vintage opal glass and opal crystal rings but today it is very difficult to find them anymore at all and it is almost impossible to find them in perfect condition. This ring is not in perfect condition by my standards but I realize now that the imperfection is very minimal and is actually aesthetically pleasing.

This large gleaming cocktail ring was made in the 1960s and is marquise shaped with a marquise opal glass stone at center. The marquise glass stone is framed by two rows of old Austrian Opal Rhinestones, all prong set. These old rhinestones have superb fire and brilliance and imitate the look of real Opals like probably nothing you've ever seen!

The glass opal stone at the center has succumbed to age and at the top and bottom, at the tips of the marquise, the glass is darkened on the back from age. The spots are very small, but they are there, and it bothered me for years until I realized that this is just how closed-back opal glass stones age. All of the Austrian rhinestone Opals are perfect with no discoloration from age.

The ring band is adjustable from a size 6 to a size 7 1/2. the face of the ring is large at 1 1/4" tall x 3/4" wide or 30 mm x 19 mm.

The back of the ring is finished in yellow gold plate and the ring band is antiqued gold gilt or gold paint. The gold on the inside of the ring band is worn and the yellow gold plate on the back of the ring has light wear. All of the rhinestones are original and present. The ring is not signed.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation ring box.

The ring has an adjustable ring band that will adjust from a size 5 1/2 to a size 7 1/2. The face of the ring is about 3/4" or 20 mm wide and the carved rose is about 1/2" or 12 mm wide.

The entire ring is in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the beads and pearls are original and present with no signs of wear and the carved rose is perfect as well. The gold on the face is in great unworn condition. The gold on the ring band is worn. The ring is not signed.

MOD SQUAD Hippie Fashion Ring BIG Lady Face 1960s Vintage Jewelry $55

MOD SQUAD Hippie Fashion Ring BIG Lady Face 1960s Vintage Jewelry $55

Wow! Stashed in the back of my jewelry closet I found a box of jewelry didn’t know I had! When I saw these rings, I flipped out, because I remember buying them back in the late 1960s and forgot where I put them!

There are 4 rings ONLY, and one Im keeping for myself!

This Mod Squad hippie fashion ring was not easy to find in the 1960s and next to impossible to find today.

The rings are made of weighty etched and polished brass with huge domes. The domes are brass as well and the lady image is a printed appliqué on metal, which was rather high tech for the time.

The domes are HUGE at 1 5/8" or 40 mm wide. The ring bands are adjustable to fit any size finger.

The rings have never been worn and are in excellent clean condition with no wear. The faces have some microscopic black specks which is just how they were made. I see a few microscopic hints of paint wear from the rings just being stored away.

The lady face is set on an angle intentionally; the face is not straight up and down on your finger, but angled to one side. The rings are not signed, but definitely American Hippie made!

Antique Honey Satin Glass Demitasse Cup Blown Bubbles Tumbler $35

Antique Honey Satin Glass Demitasse Cup Blown Bubbles Tumbler $35

An antique cup like this is very hard to find. This cup has been untouched in one of my glass curio cabinets for over 40 years.

This antique satin glass demitasse cup or tumbler was made in the late 1800s or very early 1900s. The cup is double walled glass with blown elipitcal bubble glass in honey gold on the exterior and white cased glass on the interior.

The top of the cup is straight cut and not ground down, beveled, or altered from the way the glass maker made it. If you look at the photos you might think there are a couple of flakes or chips on the rim but this is simply how the glass was cut when it was made. The cup is not signed but I believe it was made in Venice, Italy. Satin bubble glass is very rare to find.

Medium petite in size, the cup is 3 3/4" tall x 2 5/8" wide or 95 mm x 67 mm. The entire cup both inside and out is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no chips, scratches, scuffs, or cracks.

PLEASE NOTE : Be sure to check the correct shipping option at checkout. This bowl requires the checkout option for USPS Priority Mail of $ 8.50 which includes full insurance and delivery confirmation for US domestic delivery.

The meaning of mustard seed jewelry : Mustard seeds are mentioned several times in the Holy Bible, mostly in parables. Mustard seeds symbolize faith and God's kingdom, humble beginnings, and change. The mustard seed reminds Christians of the power of faith. A little faith, even as small as a mustard seed, can move even the highest mountains. The mustard seed also reminds us of small beginnings; how a small seed can grow into a large tree which implies that talents, skills, or opportunities can grow into something very big.
