Heart Earrings Puffed Sterling Silver Pierced Vintage Jewelry $65

Heart Earrings Puffed Sterling Silver Pierced Vintage Jewelry $65

It is a little bit difficult to date exactly when these heart earrings were made. They are old and were most likely made in the 1940-1960 era.

These pretty puffed hearts are sterling silver and the French ear wires are signed 925. Both sides of each heart are engraved or etched with scrolls and bead motifs. The earrings were probably not made in the US and were most likely made in Portugal or Spain.

Medium petite in size, the earrings hang down 1 1/4" or 32 cm long. The hearts are 5/8" or 16mm wide.

The pair is in super pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches, scuffs, dings, or signs of wear.

Red Glass Vintage Necklace w Org Czechoslovakia Tag 1980s Jewelry (16976) $65

Red Glass Vintage Necklace w Org Czechoslovakia Tag 1980s Jewelry (16976) $65

This necklace is new and never worn and has the original Made in Czechoslovakia hang tag. I acquired it while in port in Cairo in the early 1980s.

The beads are bright red, extremely glossy, and do not have any mold lines. The beads are very weighty as far as glass beads go but the necklace is not heavy to wear. There is a wide variety of unique large bead shapes and some beads are spaced with gold metal ball beads.

The beads have a high gloss shine and the reflective look you see in some images above is just light reflection. The beads are perfectly smooth and the color is solid and not varigated.

Finished with an easy to use gold metal lobster clasp, the necklaces are 26" or 66 cm long. The longest oblong beads are 1" or 26 mm long. All necklaces are in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation necklace box.

GIVENCHY Signed Pin When Pigs Fly Pig Pin Pink Gold Designer Brooch $75

GIVENCHY Signed Pin When Pigs Fly Pig Pin Pink Gold Designer Brooch $75

Givenchy jewelry is of course well known for their unique fabulous modern designs....so this pink rhinestone piglet pin is a complete mystery!

I can only guess that is has something to do with the saying, "When Pigs Fly!"

This piggy is made of polished gold metal and the body of the pig is domed and completely paved with bright rose pink rhinestones. The pig does appear to be in motion as if it could be flying.

Perhaps you are supposed to be like Madeleine Albright when wearing this pin. If someone says something to you that you know will probably not happen, you point to the pin on your chest. Of course, they will be utterly confused and you will have to say, Yeah, right! It will happen when pigs fly!"

Petite in size, the piglet is 1 1/4" tall x 1 3/8" wide or 32 mm x 35 mm. The back of the pin is signed with the Givenchy logo and there is no date.

The entire pin is in pristine like new microscopically clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. There is no gold wear or loss of gold. All of the rhinestones are original, present, and super sparkling. The back has the original fine working safety clasp.

Antique Gold Locket 12kt GF Crystal Firework Flowers 1920s Jewelry $345

Antique Gold Locket 12kt GF Crystal Firework Flowers 1920s Jewelry $345

This beautiful antique gold locket is a very special locket. It was made during the Edwardian era (1890-1920) and the face has an engraved firework design of flowers and ribbons with old crystal insets. The inspiration behind this design is rather simple as in the spring, everything "bursts" into bloom.

This antique round design is a classic antique beauty and what is very special about this piece is that it is designer signed. Inside, there is an insect logo of a bee, and the letters Atrice below the bee. You are supposed to put the two together to form the name Beatrice. The logo is also dated 1874, which is when R.B. MacDonald & Co. first began making fine gold and silver jewelry in Attleboro, MA. (Beatrice was not the name of the company but rather a hallmark name for their designs.)

The locket was once signed 1/20 12kt GF on the jump ring bail but it is heavily worn and very difficult to see; only parts of the letters and numbers remain, and only visible under high power magnification. The face of the locket has 6 inset old hand cut crystals that are diamond grey in color. They are grey to imitate the look of old diamonds, which were also somewhat grey. They are very roughly hand cut and the one at the center might have a slight chip, or it could have been faceted this way.

The gold is a beautiful rose gold color both front and back. The inside has places for 2 photos with the original photo lock rings still in place.

Medium large in size, the locket is about 1 1/4" or 30 mm wide. The 20" or 51 cm antique style gold metal chain is a new chain and never worn. It is not gold filled or gold plated; it is new gold metal. This is a temporary chain so the locket can be worn right away. I do not recommend making it a permanent chain as this locket deserves a nice solid gold chain. (There is no price discount for ordering the locket without the chain.)

The locket is in pristine clean polished condition with no major imperfections or flaws. There are no important scratches, scuffs, or dings. The front and back does have light to moderate microscopic scratch/swirls from gentle handling over the past 100+ years. There is no worn gold or gold wear on the faces but some gold wear around the edges. Overall, the condition is exceptional for a locket this old.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation necklace box.

Marvella Jewelry Vintage Flower Pin 1960s Yellow Sunflower Brooch $55

Marvella Jewelry Vintage Flower Pin 1960s Yellow Sunflower Brooch $55

This flower promises to put you in a cheerful mood!

This vintage designer flower is by far one of the prettiest, most unique sun flowers you will ever see! Imagine how nicely it will compliment other daisy jewelry!

This yellow gold flower is signed Marvella and dates from the early 1960s. The long ribbon like petals are laid out in a flowing oblong shape and the petals are enameled in a pale yellow, or Oriental yellow. The domed oval center is finished in a gold nugget texture. The stem and leaf are polished gold metal and the leaf has exceptional detail.

The sunflower measures 2 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" tall. The back of the brooch is a beautiful textured gold, the original fine working safety clasp, and the Marvella signature. Very perfect condition! No chips or loss of enamel and the gold is perfect both front and back. Perfectly clean as well.

Oriental Bonsai Tree Carved Yellow Jade Flowers Vintage 1960s $55

Oriental Bonsai Tree Carved Yellow Jade Flowers Vintage 1960s $55

I think that perhaps one of the most admirable exports to ever come out of China in the 1950-1960 era were carved Jade Bonsai trees.

Over the past 30+ years, I have acquired many. Im trying to count my head how many I have in my glass curio cabinets in the livining room, dining, bedroom, and bath, and Im coming up with about 20. All are quite massive and I would never feel comfortable trying to ship them. However, I decided to let one go because it is a demitasse size. I should keep it because the carved yellow jade Bonsai trees are the most difficult to find!

The flower petal are carved yellow Jade but I believe the leaves are carved marbled green glass but they might be Jade; Im not certain. The lovely celadon ribbed pot is finished with glazed quartz nuggets inside.

One thing I insist upon for the care of these trees is that I always keep them in a glass curio to prevent anyone from handling them and breaking the leaves, but also to keep out dust. You may see other Bonsai trees for sale online and if they have not been protected over the decades, you will end up with a low quality tree that has chipped and missing leaves and so much dust it is almost impossible to clean.

This mini Bonsai tree is 5 3/4" tall x 4 1/4" wide.

Both pot and tree are in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no chipped or missing leaves.

Japanese Vintage Metal Enamel Cannister Tea or Spice Tin 1950s $45

Japanese Vintage Metal Enamel Cannister Tea or Spice Tin 1950s $45

Made in the 1940-1950 era, this large Japanese tea or spice canister is an incredible work of enamel ware art.

The canister is made of silver metal and painted with glossy black enamel. The large motif on the ront incorporates the Mt. Fuji theme with sailboats, cranes, and a large mimosa tree with leaves. The colors are gold, silver, and accents of orange on the cranes. The tree has lie like bark texture in relief and recessed in the tree and the rocks below Mt. Fuji are Abalone shell inlays.

Large in size, the tin is 5 3/4" tall x 4 1/2" wide or 14.6 cm x 11.4 cm.

I've had this tin stored away fro several decades and it is excellent condition for age. The inside is clean with no rust or stains and no residual smells as nothing has ever been kept inside. The art work is in excellent condition with no missing enamels or signs of wear. The black enamel is also in excellent condition with no major imperfections like scratches or loss of enamel or glass. There are some light signs of wear on the lid, and moderates signs of wear on the bottom from gentle handling over the past 60-70 years. There is one tiny ding, hardly worth noting. The bottom of the tin is stamped Made in Japan in red ink.

RS Prussia Porcelain Shell Mold Carnations Footed Bowl 6 1/2" Red Mark $120

RS Prussia Porcelain Shell Mold Carnations Footed Bowl 6 1/2" Red Mark $120

Identifying and knowing the values of antique RS Prussia porcelain wares is a science in itself. There were many mold shapes and many different hand painted patterns. Most of the books in print don't even identify everything that was made.

This RS Prussia antique bowl is signed with the red lettering / green wreath mark, known as the red mark, and dates this bowl to the 1880-1917 era. RS Prussia hand painted porcelain wares are as valuable as French Limoges, if not worth more in many cases.

I cant give you an RS Prussia history lesson here but can tell you what to look for in old RS Prussian wares : basically, distinct mold shapes and fully painted designs. The more elaborate the shape and the more overall coverage of hand painted motif is generally what makes fine collector pieces.

This particular design is very uncommon to find and I have never been able to locate another one like it; not online or in 30+ years of antique shopping. Most RS Prussia 9-10" bowls are priced in the $ 225 to $ 400 range but very ornate medium size bowls are harder to find.

It is also very difficult to find bowls in perfect condition and when purchasing the main factors a collector should look at are chipped rims, cracks, and faded worn paint.

This elaborate ruffled rim and shell molded bowl is completely covered with light yellow, light green, and lavender painted large flowers in many shades of pink. This is known as one of the carnation patterns. The shell molds on the rim are accented with gold as well as the stamens in the flowers.

The bowl is 6 1/4" wide x 2 3/8" tall and is signed RS Prussia.

This bowl has been kept in a glass curio in my house for many decades and is in pristine clean unused condition. The paint is in excellent unworn condition and there are no scratches, chips, or cracks. There are no flea bites on the rim. The bowl has one very minor imperfection: The bowl is 3 footed and one foot has a very small vertical sliver out of the porcelain. This is very common with antique porcelain footed bowls and does not detract from the value.

This is a great buy on this bowl as the book value is $ 325-350.

Please Note : USPS Priority Mail Shipping for $ 10.00 is required at checkout for this item to anywhere in the US.

Cobalt Venetian Glass Vintage Necklace 1970s Jewelry $75

Cobalt Venetian Glass Vintage Necklace 1970s Jewelry $75

If you are not into vintage glass beads, you probably dont want to buy this very special necklace. If you are into vintage glass beads like I am, this Venetian glass necklace is a special treat!

To the untrained eye, one might think this necklace is a new based on the colors. To the trained eye of an antique and vintage glass bead hound like me, these glass beads are not new and are mouth blown wound beads made in Italy in the 1960-1970 era.

The largest beads are clear glass ribbed melons and they are 4 sided pinched beads. The mouth blown oval beads are clear and light green. All of the large and small beads are mouth blown wound beads with tiny air bubbles inside. If you look closely at the small beads, you will see variations in size and shape, and some of the smaller rounds have a point or a nipple where the glass rod spun off the bead in a less than perfect fashion.

The pink beads are satin glass in both disk and tube shapes. Some of the cobalt glass beads are very odd and unusal shapes and they are mold pressed beads with visible mold lines on some.

The necklace is one continous loop with no clasp and measure 41" or 104 cm long. The largest oval beads are 13 mm long.

The entire necklace is in pristine clean sparkling condition with no signs of wear. There is one small cobalt bead that has a tiny chip, but you will be hard pressed to find it.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation necklace box.

Seahorse Pin Vintage Gold Blue Green Nautical Brooch $42

Seahorse Pin Vintage Gold Blue Green Nautical Brooch $42

This large designer made seahorse pin features classic nautical colors of gold with emerald and navy translucent enamels.

The brooch is a modern design and is signed L8; a signature I'm not familiar with. The design is consistent with jewelry made in the 1970-1980 era.

The body of the seahorse has a horizontal linear beaded texture in satin gold metal. Both vertical sides of the seahorse skeleton have recessed panels in emerald and navy translucent enamels.

Large in size, the seahorse is 2 3/4" tall x 1" wide or 70 mm x 25 mm. The entire brooch is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. It has obviously never been worn and there are no scratches, dings, or wear. The back has the original fine working safety clasp and the L8 signature.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation brooch box.

Frog Pin BIG Funky Gold Rhinestone Vintage Brooch w Emerald Eyes $65

Frog Pin BIG Funky Gold Rhinestone Vintage Brooch w Emerald Eyes $65

In the 1950-1960 era, Castecliff made the most impressive giant gold/rhinestone frog brooch ever made. This frog pin is not designer signed but it is very similar to the one made by Castlecliff.

Made in the 1970-1980 era, this huge gold frog features whimsical webbed feet in polished gold metal. The body of the frog is convex or arched outward and paved with countless large sparkling clear rhinestones. There are big glowing emerald glass domes for eyes.

Very impressive and large in size, this regal frog is 2 3/4" or 68 mm wide. The photo of the frog in my hand will give you a better representation of the size.

The entire brooch is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There is no gold wear or loss of gold and no scratches or dings. All of the rhinestones are original, present, and super brilliant. The back is finished in a gold dimple texture and the original fine working safety clasp is in place.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in new luxury presentation brooch box.

Petite in size, the earrings hang down 1 3/4" or mm long. The buttons are 5/8" or 16 mm wide.

Wicked Witch Vintage Pin BIG Enamel Pewter Brooch JJ Signed Jewelry $35

Wicked Witch Vintage Pin BIG Enamel Pewter Brooch JJ Signed Jewelry $35

I should make my mother wear this wicked witch brooch !

You see, when I was in elementary school in the 1960s, my mother and her best friend dressed up like witches one Halloween and came into my school screaming and running down the halls, terrorizing all the kids, and beating the teachers with their brooms. Everyone was totally traumatized and no one knew who these witches were! Kids were crying the entire ride home on the bus: they had been chased by witches at school !

When I got home, my mother was sitting on the front porch reading a magazine like nothing happened. She casually said, " How was your day at school? " Suspecting her right from the start, I couldn't pin it on her, but I had a gut feeling.

This was the same woman who sometimes put plastic fruit in my lunch box, took bites out of my sandwiches before wrapping them, and sometimes left the wrapper on the cheese slices on sandwiches... on purpose. I searched the house for clues. Was the broom still in the closet ? Where were the costumes? I found nothing, and she would not admit to it, but I knew it was her. It took years to pry the truth out of her!

This satin cast pewter wicked witch brooch, flying on her broomstick, has satin red hair and satin red on the broom sticks. The cape, hat, and boots are glossy black enamel. The brooch is designer signed JJ for Jonnette jewelry and was made in the 1980-1990 era. ( JJ went out of business in 2006.)

Large in size, the brooch is 3 1/8" wide x 2" tall or 80 mm x 50 mm. The entire brooch is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There is no enamel wear and no scratches or dings. The back has the original fine working safety clasp and is signed JJ.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation brooch box.

Mother of Pearl Shell Vintage Necklace Blue White 1970s Jewelry $75

Mother of Pearl Shell Vintage Necklace Blue White 1970s Jewelry $75

In my 30+ years of collecting antique and vintage jewelry, one of my biggest passions has been for vintage sea shell necklaces. You will find many different vintage sea shell jewelry in the Tropical & Nautical Jewelry category to your left.

Many of the finest sea shell necklaces from the 1960-1970 era were made in Japan or the Philippines but very few were ever made in blue. You would think blue would have been a favorite color but it was not. Purple and coral pink were the hottest colors.

This 5 strand beauty is made of polished Mother of Pearl shell nuggets, some pearly white and some dyed in Caribbean blue. The necklace has tremendous sparkle as every shell is spaced with several clear glass silver lined seed beads. The shells are also very luminous as they are polished to glossy perfection.

Look at the ends of the strands, where the hook and matching shell extension chain are attached, and you will see very unique end findings. Not metal, but carved shell.

Perfectly smashing when worn, the necklace is not heavy to wear. It can be hooked up to 17" or 43 cm long. If you would like the necklace longer you may add a 4" long custom made silver metal extension chain below. This will allow the necklace to be hooked up to 21" or 53 cm long.

The entire necklace is in super pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no cracked or missed shells or glass beads. I have owned this necklace since the 1970s and it has never been worn. The hook is signed Japan.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation necklace box.
